Modern Vac and Sew provide vocational experiences for Upper Dublin students

To the Editor:
We are the parents of a 20-year-old son who attends the autistic support class at Upper Dublin High School. We would like to publically acknowledge my appreciation and admiration for the businesses in our community that support these students by providing vocational experiences in their stores where the students serve their customers and work with their staff. The students gain skills that will help them find meaningful jobs and the community gets to know and interact with the students. Everyone wins.
So please patronize these businesses and reward their generosity and public service: George’s Dreshertown Shop N Bag, Modern Vac N Sew Center and Nick Pizzeria, 1650 Limekiln Pike, Dresher; Little Italy Pizza, 416 S Bethlehem Pike, Fort Washington; and Upper Dublin Township Library and Upper Dublin Township Administration, Loch Alsh Avenue, Fort Washington.
We’d also like to thank all those in the Upper Dublin School District who support the education of our children with autism and other special needs. The staff and programming are fantastic.
Maureen and Michael Caulfield,
Parents of Matthew Caulfield
